Best Wedding Venues in London
BEST WEDDING VENUES IN LONDON
Getting married in London has a unique character all of its own but the sheer range of choices available to you for your wedding day can be overwhelming. To try and make things a little easier for you I have selected 14 of the Best Wedding Venues in London that I have shot in. I have tried to make the selection of wedding venues as varied as possible. From the beautifully dilapidated venues like The Wilton Music Hall in East London and The Asylum Chapel in South London or the quirky fashion forward venues such as MC Motors in Dalston, all the way through to the more traditional London wedding venues such as Claridges Hotel or the Lansdowne Club, Mayfair, with their grand ballrooms and sweeping staircases. Plus lesser used venues such as the Rochelle Canteen and unexpected wedding venues like The V&A.
Below each of my images I have provided direct links to each London wedding venue, and where applicable I have posted links to my own blogs of these weddings at the bottom of the page. There should be something for everyone here, but if you’re still looking for ideas at the end of this blog please do get in touch with me and I’d be more than happy to help. As 14 of the Best Wedding Venues in London this list is obviously by no means exhaustive. The range of wedding venues in the capital from pubs and bars to rooftop hotels is enormous!
1. WILTON MUSIC HALL, EAST LONDON
An incredibly beautiful romantic old music hall, wedding venue, tucked away in the heart of The City
2. THE CHAINSTORE, TRINITY BUOY WHARF
Trinity Buoy Wharf is one of the most versatile London wedding venues which can accommodate two weddings on the same day with The Chainstore (larger space)
3. THE ELECTRICIAN’S WORKSHOP, TRINITY BUOY WHARF
The Electrician’s Shop is the smaller, more intimate venue of the two on the site. With an incredibly atmospheric basement room for the wedding ceremony
Also, see my dedicated post with links and resources on Trinity Buoy Wharf Weddings here
4. MC MOTORS, DALSTON, EAST LONDON
One of the first and still one of the best alternative hip East London wedding venues. This space has also been used for countless fashion shoots and music videos.
5. ASYLUM CHAPEL, SOUTH LONDON SE19
A wonderful old chapel near Peckham, South London. This wedding venue no longer allows for all day receptions but the ceremony space is amazing.
6. TOWN HALL HOTEL & APARTMENTS, BETHNAL GREEN
This romantic, revamped art deco building is one of my most consistent bookings, yet it lends its character and charm to every wedding differently.
7. CLARIDGES HOTEL, MAYFAIR
This is one of the grandest, most opulent venues for a wedding. Yet it is still able to offer options to suit different budgets with the ballroom and the restaurant.
8. ROCHELLE CANTEEN, SHOREDITCH
Perhaps one of the most intimate spaces to use for a wedding reception in London, with only one small single room joined to the kitchen. This is one for the foodies.
9. 2 TEMPLE PLACE
A stunning wood-lined mansion building built for Lord Astor, just along from the Embankment, behind the Strand. The dining room is absolutely gorgeous.
10. THE V&A
Very much the higher end of wedding venues, The Victoria & Albert Museum becomes a wedding space on only a few select occasions every year.
11. THE LANSDOWNE CLUB
The Lansdowne Club is a private members club (see also The Saville Club) in the heart of London, Mayfair.
12. CLAPTON COUNTRY CLUB, EAST LONDON
This is an intimate shabby chic venue in Hackney. If this is your thing you might also want to take a look at The Roost, also in Hackney.
13. THE OLD FINSBURY TOWN HALL
The Old Finsbury Town Hall is a stunning old music hall with the original sprung floors between Angel and Farringdon
14. ICA, CENTRAL LONDON
Positioned right in the heart of Central London, The Institute of Contemporary Arts, holds weddings in this beautiful old Georgian building.

TRINITY BUOY WHARF – ELECTRICIANS SHOP
Very nice post, I only know of half of the venues too. Nicely collated images and information :-)
Wiltons is a favourite venue of mine; nightmare to light though :-)
