Thornton Manor wedding photography

This was my first experience of Thornton Manor wedding photography, in its beautiful Cheshire setting, a stunning part of North England that I’ve never been to before.  But that’s okay, because some weddings you just know are going to be a breeze.  I try to meet most clients for a drink and a chat before the wedding day, but with Laura and Chris living in New York, that was never going to be possible.  (However nice it might be to pop over to Manhattan for a coffee and a documentary wedding client meeting.)  But the emails from Laura were so light and easy that I never had the slightest doubt that this was going to be a great wedding a) to shoot and b) just to be around.  And so it was.  It was exactly the wedding I was expecting.  Relaxed, warm, fun.  Hitting all the wedding beats without being constrained by them.  Laura, for example, slipped into a pair of white Converse trainers for the 10 minute walk from the church to the marquee reception at Thornton Manor, (hotographic evidence of which follows, about halfway down) and half the assembled guests took to a spot of post-prandial napkin wearing…
