So I should probably tell you up front that this wedding is a year old — in fact, Gemma and Lewis have already Facebooked their anniversary — but the only reason that I haven’t posted before now was that this wedding got so much social media/Love My Dress, um, love, last year, and I didn’t want this wedding to suffer from overkill, because it deserves to be enjoyed. So then, a year on, this is going to be the Director’s Cut, or Gemma and Lewis Redux. There are a lot of photos here that you won’t have seen before. Unless you happen to be Gemma and Lewis… then there’s going a lot less. But I’m really proud of this set of images and I want to show them off. Now partly there’s an element of ‘Have you seen the bride? Have you seen the groom? Have you seen the guests? Have you seen where they got married/had their reception? How could you go wrong?’ Well yes that’s true, there’s all that. The Union Chapel was an inspired choice and MC Motors is one of the best venues out there, period. But sometimes when you have all that in front of you there’s more pressure to deliver precisely because you’d be an idiot to mess it up. But I like to think I didn’t just get what was in front of me, I bounced off it, too. Bounced off the energy and fun of the whole thing. Because what was so special about the day was that the glamour was almost incidental. This wedding was all about the warmth and and love radiating between everyone involved. It was one big unapologetically joyful party that just happened to look mind-poppingly beautiful at the same time. Here then, are lots of images from the day. Enjoy…
Wonderful work Nick, so much energy in these images!
