Friday Photo: Everybody Street Soho Pride

Everybody Street, Soho Pride

So I’m not going to say too much about today’s image.  I feel like I’ve banged on about film in plenty of other Friday Photo blog posts.  All I’m going to say is look at it.  How does it do that?  It seems so rich and deep and evocative.  It has soul and it seems to record the soul of the people.  Not all street photography is about being an invisible observer.  *See William Klein for evidence of that done beautifully.  Or Bruce Gilden as strange, prowling, face hunter.  I love the slightly guarded expression of the girl kissing her girlfriend here.  That connection with the camera.  I’m not going to write any more than that.  A good photo shouldn’t need any text at all.  So here is just a photo that I took this year in Soho, at Gay Pride.  The end.
