Claridges Wedding Photography | Hannah & Rory
Claridges Wedding Photography, wintertime, with Hannah & Rory..
Okay so I do realise I have some weddings from last year that I haven’t blogged yet. But those weddings are warm and have guests lounging around outside in an Indian Summer. This wedding feels more seasonal-appropriate. A beautifully cold bright winter wedding in the heart of London. In fact, after a horrendous week leading up to the day the skies were a hazy pale December blue. But then you know everything’s going to run your way when get to Claridges and find out you’ve been bumped up to their amazing penthouse suite…
Now you’d think a black tie wedding at Claridges might have a rather stuffy feel to it, but with Hannah (and Rory) at the helm that was never going to happen. This was a fun, fizzy, effortlessly relaxed feel-good day from start to finish. The ‘more roomy than you’ll ever need’ Claridges penthouse suite (unless of course you want somewhere to invite all your guests back for late night drinks once the dancing is done), then to the beautiful St John’s Church, Hyde Park for a wedding that was at once opulent and laid back — champagne reception in the back of the church! — and then back to Claridges again for drinks, dinner and then dancing to the amazing, Down for the Count Swing Orchestra. The dancing shots are some of my favourite to date. Everyone was having a blast!
