Brompton Oratory Wedding Photography

This has taken a while to go up.  Evidenced by the fact this was a scorching hot day in July and it’s now a cold bright day in February.  Apologies for the lag in blogging lately — I ended up shooting 30 weddings in the last six months of 2014.  So a pretty crazy lopsided year all in all.  So but anyway, back to the matter at hand.  This was a very handsome wedding, with Rosie and John getting ready in the grand rooms of Middle Temple and getting married at the incredible Brompton Oratory in Kensington before heading back to Middle Temple again for their grand reception.  Things did get a little more complicated in the middle of the day however.  The two London Routemasters ferrying the 150 plus guests the short distance across London got hopelessly caught up in the traffic snarled up by the Free Palestine march.  What should have taken 20 minutes ended up taking nearly two hours on a blazing hot chuntering old bus before half the guests finally decamped and took the tube the rest of the way.  A nightmare of the wedding planner but a dream for a documentary photographer… *see shots of glamorous guests with jeraboams of champagne laughing on the underground.  Luckily there was a big window for the reception so the day was quickly back on track and flowed effortlessly late into the night.  What follows now, are the photos…
