Finding an excuse to list your Award Winning Photography is always a pleasant thing to do. Last week I received three awards from the Wedding Photojournalist Association.  What makes this particularly satisfying is the WPJA is a highly prestigious organisation which demands an incredibly high standard of photography from the thousands of its’ members worldwide. I was delighted to have two photos in the Children at Weddings section (14th and 18th) and another one (18th) in the Getting Ready section.  These follow the awards I won in the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) annual awards in 2011 and 2012 — both in the Fashion category that time.  I’m constantly seeking to improve and awards like these all help to show I’m on the right track..

The first photo is of a beautiful young flower girl lost in her own reverie.  I shot this wide and close to emphasise the slightly Alice in Wonderland feel.  As with all my photos it’s a completely real moment.  Just shot to give it a slightly heightened mood.

The second photo is of a young girl with a chorizo-on-a-stick.  Spanish wedding, of course.

The third photo, was again, taken at a destination wedding.  This time in France.  Hannah here is looking serene despite the mêlée around her.
