BEST OF 2013 WEDDINGS
So the Best of 2013 Weddings.. where to start? Because 2013 was some year (but then, to be fair, so was 2012 and 2011). Looking back at my third full year as a wedding photographer I can’t believe a) that I’ve only been doing it for three years and b) that it’s also gone so quickly. I feel insanely lucky to be doing what I’m doing. Not only is my job turning up for the biggest party people are ever going to throw, but I get to photograph it all as a fly-on-the-wall — and who doesn’t love people watching?? I’ve been to some amazing weddings in amazing places and made some wonderful friends on the back of them. 2013 had everything from an English garden amphitheatre wedding in the heart of the countryside on an insanely hot Summer’s day, to an equally, but less surprisingly, hot St Tropez wedding for the beautifully elegant — almost impossibly limbed – Vogue model, Viktoria Alervall. Weddings this year have been 75% London based, but the rest have taken me all around the country, and I even got to photograph comedy god Chris Morris at one of them. But really, there are too many great days to go through right now.
Honestly I’m still buzzing on the back of 2013, and 2014 is already shaping up to be a pretty damn great year itself. Honestly, I can’t wait…
But in the meantime, here are selection of just some of favourites from last year. It easily could have been twice the size….

Incredible stuff Nick, this really is some set of photographs. I love your vision of weddings! Love the guy coming down the stairs with the flowers, the groom and gusts waiting by the pond for the bride, the last image of the bus – ha ha! …and too many other shots to mention!
Thanks fella!
What a fantastic snippit of what you do and how good you are at it! I have looked at this about 10 times already.
There are so many great shots that it is impossible to list them all. You clever thing!
Smashed it Mr T :)
Thanks Domi. That’s high praise from you…. x
I only recently came across your work, but am very glad I did. I love the way you see weddings, and think your framing and composition is immaculate. I look forward to seeing what you get up to in 2014.
Thanks Martin! Really appreciate it….
That’s a bloody good year Nick.
Beautiful work. Amazing story telling. What a year. Here’s to an even better 2014.
Thanks Laura. It’s all about the storytelling for me… x
An eventful and photogenic year for you Nick… it’s always a pleasure to view a wedding through your inquisitive eye
Thanks Stephen. Waiting for yours.. ;-)
I’ve looked through these several times and it’s actually impossible to pick a favourite. Although I am going to make it my mission to learn that trick with the champagne glass….Seriously though, absolute love every image and the stories they tell – I feel like I know about each and every wedding just from these glimpses into what must have been brilliant days to be part of.
Thanks Laura! There’s no higher praise than that in my book….. x
Hi, recently found your work via Thornton Manor where I have worked several times…outstanding stuff, glad I visited your site, looking forward to seeing more of your work…
Much like the Brides you’ve had this year, this is a stunning set Nick. So many classics. Wishing you a great 2014 buddy
Without a doubt one of the most stylish wedding photographers working today. I’m forever amazed at how you make every single photo you take look like its been taken by you. That sounds weird but I know what I mean. Stylish, beautiful and incredibly well processed. You’ve had a great year and I look forward to seeing what 2014 brings you :)
What a year! You have such a distinct style, everything looks like it was straight from a fashion magazine mixed in with photojournalistic shots from a Sunday paper magazine. Really, really good.
i love your aesthetic.
