London Wedding Photographer – Fliss and Jon at Shakespeare’s Globe
Okay, so this is the wedding between the utterly charming and delightful Fliss Walton and the equally charming and winningly louche Jon Edgley Bond.  Fliss and I go way back, bonding over the perils of drinking slightly-below-par tea from a twice boiled kettle of oxidised water, looking out across the badlands of London Fields from the pre-hipster eyrie of the Electric Lofts.  But that’s by the by.  Spring back to this wedding, fittingly, at Shakespeare’s Globe, next to London’s famous The Thames.  Fittingly, because both Fliss and Jon are actors, as were a good 78.6% of the guests.  Actors are lovely and pretty much always ‘on.’  My dad was a TV director so I know from actors and they have a way of projecting themselves a little further into the space around them, which makes for a great cast and crew of a wedding day.  The day felt large and warm and giving and I have no idea why it’s taken me a good seven months to blog it but there we are, that says a great deal more about me than it does about actors or this wedding or really anything else.  But I’m delighted to be finally featuring this gorgeous wedding on my blog.
To give you some idea of how picture perfect this day was, as we were doing a few shots on ‘the wobbly bridge,’ a woman walked past me and said, “They’re not a real couple, are they?” Â But yes, yes they are. Â They’re Fliss and Jon…
Oh and before I forget, if you want to see what a wedding day looks like through a single roll of film you can do that with this wedding here: A Roll of Film
But first and now, please enjoy this amazingly lovely wedding, complete with a pre-ceremony fancy dress theme for the day’s attendant kids…
Absolutely brilliant. So full of life and energy and so unmistakably yours. The picture of the little girl with the heart on her nose might be one of my favourites of yours EVER.
