An Impossibly Glamorous St Tropez Wedding

Even by the Cote d’Azur’s standards this St Tropez wedding has to be up there with the most glamorous its seen. Certainly it’s pretty much the most glamorous I’ve seen. This was a meeting of super happy Swedes on Viktoria’s side, all thrumming with that particular Scandinavian health, and crazily vibrant Americans on Troy’s side, fizzing with uniquely North American energy. You’ll see from the photos that the partying is featured quite heavily because it turned into some party — the last shot of the blog was taken at 4 in the morning and there’s not a tired, drained or beleaguered face among them. I could write on and on about this wedding, about the amazing clothes, location, food, drink. About St Tropez itself. But I’m not going to. I’m going to keep it brief. One thing I do want to say is however glamorous and well heeled this wedding looks this was still a very real wedding and Troy and Viktoria and their families are as nice a bunch of people as I’ve photographed. It was a just pleasure to be a part of it.

You’ve taken a stunningly beautiful wedding, Nick, and created stunningly beautiful images of it. It might be thought that the first invariably leads to the second but it does take an attuned eye and soul. Above and beyond that beauty though there’s a fantastic sense of intimacy, deep warmth and elevated human spirit in evidence in all of this; one of those “I wish I’d been there to experience it too” affairs.
