ABOUT ME

I’m Nick Tucker. I’ve been a photographer for more than fifteen years. Before that I was a writer, including a few strange months writing for Banksy.

I photograph weddings, parties, people, fashion, burlesque and personal projects. The subject changes; the basic interest doesn’t: people as they actually are, particularly in the moments when they stop arranging themselves for the camera.

Most of my wedding work is documentary, although the eye is probably more editorial. I work with digital and 35mm film, and I usually get close rather than standing at the edge of the room with a long lens.

I was named one of Rangefinder’s 30 Rising Stars and my work has appeared in Vogue. That’s flattering, but it isn’t the reason to book me. Book me if you want photographs that feel like your day rather than somebody else’s idea of a wedding.

I’m based in Hastings and St Leonards and work in London, across the UK and worldwide.
