Maria and Dom’s wedding began with an autumn stroll around Arnold Circus, followed by the ceremony and drinks at Shoreditch Town Hall, then dinner and fireworks at Rochelle Canteen.

I hadn’t been to Shoreditch Town Hall since I was 17 and took LSD at a music night almost none of you will remember. But you probably don’t need to know that about your wedding photographer.

Maria asked me to photograph the evening completely without flash. Given how low-key it was, that made sense. It was also a way of working I hadn’t used for a few years, so it was fun to be thrown back into a different mode.

Mostly, though, it was Maria’s expressive face and Dom quietly being all about the love. These two.
