Chiswick House Wedding Photographer

It’s not often you get a bride explaining her style thoughts by telling you “I just love the Amish look,” but that’s exactly what Stef said to me the morning of her wedding, and that lovely, natural, idiosyncratic take on her wedding runs through the day.  (The marquee’s top table’s place setting was the album cover for Television’s Marquee Moon.)  Stef is that wonderful mix of someone who takes style seriously but doesn’t take herself too seriously, and Nick is smart and laid back and totally smitten with her.  Both of them are effortlessly good company and that easy going feeling (as it almost always does) extended to the family and friends gathered around them on the day.  They even brought along their little Jack Russell who could be seen sporting a very dapper black tie at the start of proceedings.  Despite both Stef and Nick being Scottish Chiswick House with its English neo-Palladian architecture and restored 18th Century Gardens seemed the perfect backdrop for this wedding — Scotland was represented by a smattering of kilts and the heavy rain which waited until everyone was ensconced inside the marquee before lashing it down.  The whole day felt fluid and relaxed and shot through with an easy going that charm spoke volumes for the happy couple.  These then are the photos of the day.  Enjoy…
