Shoreditch House Wedding Photographer

My favourite kind of wedding is an urban London one and what better than a Shoreditch House wedding?  There’s just something about the buzz of East London that compliments the glamour of a wedding day almost as it stands in opposition to it.  And this wedding had a bit of everything: the Art Deco of Bethnal Green Town Hall Hotel, followed by Islington Town Hall, then the urban park of Highbury Fields followed by the gritty wet streets of Shoreditch with its wind and rain and international graffiti before going on to Shoreditch House for a little bit of contemporary design looking out towards Whitechapel.

I’d been looking forward to this wedding for a while.  Becky is the Picture Editor at Harpers Bazaar (Arabia) and booked sometime ago but living in Dubai (Becky, not me..) meant that we weren’t able to meet up until just before the wedding.  However you know you’re in good hands when a bride asks if I wouldn’t mind capturing the ‘First Bowl,’ more than the first dance.  And that’s exactly what transpired — a really fun, easy going wedding that not even the horizontal rains for our shoot around Highbury and Shoreditch could spoil, punctuated with a spot of bowling in Shoreditch House and rounded off by a great Bowie tribute act.

Really, what more could you want?

Enjoy…
