LBGT Wedding Photography

In the run up to this weekend’s Gay Pride day in Brighton I thought now might be a good time to feature this amazing LBGT wedding photography, between Kirsten and Effie in East London’s vibrant East London.  Although to be honest any time since it happened would have been a good time to feature this wedding.  It was such a great, easy going, colourful day that went all out for style without ever once losing sight of content.  Kirsten and Effie are a beautiful couple and great company.  In fact when I met up with them for a pre-wedding chat Effie and my wife recognised each other from sharing the bill in London’s Tournament of Tease.  Effie is still part of the burlesque seen, performing as Effie Vescent and that world was nicely represented on the day, including a statuesque drag queen hostess and a showstopping striptease performed by Miss Amber Topaz before they’d ever served the starters at the wedding breakfast.  And that show, and those starters, and the rest of the reception was held at the brilliantly eccentric Les Trois Garcons restaurant in Shoreditch.  The whole event was a wonderful expression of love, happiness and friendship.  And how can you not love a wedding that manages to provide an unstaged, deadpan, high camp Last Supper image along one wall (*see final photo).  Here then are the photos then..
